SRRIJAN - Social Entrepreneurship Project | 2019

Sewa Roshni & AAN Charitable Trust and FLO Uttrakhand chapter sensitized the management and employees of Dry Blends food Pvt Ltd Kashipur on the adverse effects of using polythene bags on our environment under the project 'Srrijan'. An initiative to promote recycled and repurposed Denim cloth bags as a multi-purpose sustainable alternative to one-time use polythene bags.
A small change can make a big difference - Switch from 'Carry Bag to Carry a Bag!'
40 reusable, washable and recycled sturdy denim bags were distributed to all participants as an incentive to inspire them to carry their own bags for grocery shopping. Everyone took a pledge to make their homes and workplaces plastic-free.
A small step to keep our city clean!

A brief counseling session on Covid -19 safety protocols as per WHO guidelines were also conducted. The programme was supported by AAN & FLO members.

Sewa Roshni Core team member & Founder of Project Promise made the employees take a pledge to make a promise to stop plastic use and use cloth bags.

The Pledge

SRRIJAN - A Social Entrepreneurship project which believes in Creation & Evolution

In this Project, SEWA ROSHNI joined hands with AAN Charitable trust, Kashipur Uttrakhand to collect old used denims from across Delhi and Haryana to make jean - fabric bags. The major goal of this project was to spread awareness in the region to stop the use of plastic bags and use recycled fabric bags....an ecofriendly solution for the planet.

Underprivileged women in the Uttrakhand area stitch these bags utilising the pockets & belts.

Apart from Dry Blend foods kashipur, the distribution was also done in villages of Uttrakhand to women, factory workers & children.

This is a small effort by us to conserve our environment!
