TARA...Homes For Children

Story of my on going Internship with TARA (Homes for Girls)…

Excitement, exhilaration fire in my belly to make a difference, compassion and reflecting upon various aspects of the lives of the 20 young girls who’s cozy home has started to feel like a little heaven for me.

Children from vulnerable situations left alone in hazardous slums of Delhi end up being victims of physical & psychological abuse, violence and even murders. It was Pascal Fautrat, a social worker and Annick Adam, a retired teacher who together decided to create a children’s Home through driven conviction and a devoted team in France & India.

Gradually the story began taking shape & unfolded with TARA Chaya, Onyva, girls and proposed TARA – outreach.

TARA means star in Hindi language and refers to the speed of the children’s progress comparable to a Shooting Star!

Thus, I look forward to growing, contributing and learning thereby. Precious moments spent with the little girls are indeed invaluable. Doing homework together, discussing music, singing songs, planning menstrual hygiene programmes and ‘Safe & Unsafe Touch’ awareness are some of the things I am truly looking forward.
