Lets Talk Periods Event | October 2022

Another event with great learnings. We at Project promise - Sewa Roshni were honoured to be a part of an initiative by Delhi Police and EWA (Empowered Women's Association) to educate underprivileged women and children. 200 Women and 50 children of Jamrudpur chaupal were sensitized and explained the importance of hygiene, especially during menstruation, and the importance of hygiene during periods.
We also distributed over 500 packets of reusable sanitary pads and over 200 books of Newly Launched hindi version of Anu didi's monthly visitor.

We would like to express our gratitude to Dr.Prakash Aggarwal ( INDIANS FOR COLLECTIVE ACTONS, USA) for providing us with reusable sanitary pads.

We also thank Mrs.Sharmila goyal (founder of EWA) for joining hands with Sewa roshni for skill training programs for underprivileged women and children of Delhi.

We are collectively dedicated to providing education and raising awareness about menstruation among underprivileged women and children, with the common goal of eradicating the stigma associated with periods. Together, we will triumph over this taboo surrounding menstruation.
