TARA HOMES

It is estimated that nearly one-third of all children living in extreme   poverty reside in India. This has led to extensive child-trafficking, child labour and various forms of exploitation.
TARA India in the year of 2008 offered to create a safe place for the most disadvantaged children. The goal was to provide them with a safe place for the most disadvantaged children. The goal was to provide them with a safe home, education and a better understanding of human rights.
Over the weeks of spending time with these little angels I wanted to contribute and do my bit. Their walls adorned with the beautiful paintings the children had spent hours creating…the thoughtful and colorful motivational posters they had so well decorated and the never –say-die attitude got me reflecting further.
Soon began the emotional journey of discussions and talks with various individuals who would eventually help and contribute their share towards the making of a wonderful Collection Drive!
We collected a sufficient number and distributed Tiffin Boxes, Water Bottles, Drawing Books, Colours etc to the little children.
To see the smiling faces indeed filled my heart with joy and I recalled the warm hugs I got each time I visited the home.
